can anyone help me?

i installed XP Mode in my win7 Pro, after installation i installed some programs into it. after few months my friend gave me a copy of Windows XP Mode.vhd his vhd file already installed a lot of software which I need. After he passed me the vhd file I overwrite my old vhd file and now im using his XP mode on my laptop. but now I want to change back to my own vhd file which I overwrite the last time.

is there any chance of getting back my old vhd even though I already overwritten the vhd?

thanks

Hello, Shrek, welcome to the Seven Forums.

You could try some file recovery tools, but I doubt it would work.

Your options are reinstalling XP Mode or work with the one you have. If you want reinstall, you can rename the existing vhd first, then after reinstall create a new vm using that vhd, to have two XP Modes.
