Well, I think it says Samsung on the drive mate.
John Carrona said:
Samsung - Go to http://www.samsung.com/us/support/ and select "Hard Disk Drives" under the Office category.
Enter the information about your hard drive model, then click on the Get Downloads link on the next page, then on the Software link on the following page.
If there's no downloads available, try this link - it seems to be the same version (ESTOOL v3.01) for every drive: http://org.downloadcenter.samsung.com/downloadfile/ContentsFile.aspx?CDSite=US&CttFileID=220644&CDCttType=SW&ModelType=C&ModelName=HA250JC&VPath=SW/201011/20101118113245515/ESTOOL301v.iso
You must unzip the file before you can burn (NOT copy) the ISO image to a CD.
From the link I provided you. Read your label for the model number.

Request system information:
Please run Speccy, let it gather all the information, and PUBLISH (file menu publish) the report
Speccy will place the report on the Piriform server and give you the URL to use as a reference.
Sensitive information is removed before Speccy places the report on the server.
Then post a link to the report.

If you choose to save the report and post it here, you'll have to edit it and remove sensitive stuff yourself, particularly your Win7 key - remove it by hand or use the publish option (preferred).
Don't just blast the whole report into a post, wrap it in a "code box" using the # icon on the post menu.
But why bother with all of that - use the Speccy publish option.

If you haven't started the reinstall with disk wipe, I'd also reset the BIOS to defaults first: Clear CMOS - 3 Ways to Clear the CMOS - Reset BIOS.

Then set SATA controller to AHCI, look for a setting to enable SMART status.

If there is a setting for SMART in the BIOS (some boards don't have it), I'd be interested in knowing how it's set right now, before changing any of the settings.

@gregrocker,
I will be doing a fresh install just backing up my stuff. I could not find a "SATA controller to AHCI" and I did Clear the CMOS with the "Factory Defaults" BIOS Option Menu.

@F5ing,
Here you are some images *Before I used Factory Defaults*

The start:

gregrocker/F5ing This was the only smart thing I could find?:

I thought ACCI would be here:
2012_11_06_240.jpg

Here is what I done.. I set everything to Factory Defaults, I then turned HDD S.M.A.R.T to enabled and saved and quit.

My board has a similar setting, and in their infinite wisdom, Asus decided it should be disabled by default. Obviously Gigabyte is as SMART as Asus (pun intended).

@F5ing,
Long scan?

@essenbe,
Am not really sure what the whole smart thing is? But am guessing it must be imported?

No, it is just an enabled/disabled setting. For the life of me, I cannot figure out why anyone would not want to know if their hard drive is dying.

What are the other choices for OnChip SATA type?

Find another HD Diagnostic extended CD scan recommended for that Samsung HD. The SMART can't really be ignored.

@gregrocker,
What do you know, It has got AHCI (And some others photo added)
2012_11_06_249.jpg

I thought you were going to try a reinstall. AHCI is the optimal setting for reinstall.

Would you prefer to test the HD again with the diagnostics recommended by maker?

Did you get another SMART reading? This can be done from the desktop (in IDE mode) by installing CrystalDiskInfo - Software
