PC randomly restarts itself when gaming?

Sadly it still crashed and restarted..

I got back from the reboot (after installing the drivers) And loaded my game and BAM it crashed on start (PC restarted) I re-loaded the game and this time it did not crash but halfway in it did

I have uploaded both .zips one being the crash at start (SF_17-08-2013_first.zip) and the other one crashing mid way.

I think we should run :ar: Driver Verifier, see if it picks any misbehaving drivers and hopefully cause a BSOD
which will help pinpoint the issue, as I'm running out of ideas :

Warning
Before enabling DV, make it sure that you have earlier System restore points made in your computer. You can check it easily by using :ar: CCleaner looking at Tools > System Restore.

If there is no points, :ar: make a System Restore Point manually before enabling DV.

Tip

• If you fail to get on the Desktop because of DV, Boot into Advanced Boot Options > Safe mode. Disable DV there. Now boot normally again, and try following the instruction of enabling DV again.
• If you cannot boot in Safe mode too, do a System Restore to a point you made earlier.

If that doesn't help I'm going to suggest you perform a :ar: Repair Install

Hey Dave,

I went on Driver Verifier and used what was said here "http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/101379-driver-verifier-enable-disable.html" When I got to part 5. (Click on "Provider" at the top to sort the list by manufacturer; select all drivers not provided by Microsoft Corporation.) I ticked the box's which had a Provider I did not tick any of the "Unknown ones" As it never said too?

I did that... PC restarted loaded fine no crashes or BSOD for 8 hours pass... So I thought hey I would play a game! Loaded up Company of Heroes 30mins in and crashes no BSOD just crash and restart, PC restarts back here I still have Driver Verifier On .zip has be uploaded

I have not done a Fix install.

When doing a "Repair Install" will that format my HD or remove any files?

Hi,

A Repair Install will keep your user accounts, data, programs, and system drivers.

(Read the Tip section in the tutorial as you may have to back up your Device drivers etc)
