Hello, I want to keep post short, I will write details without so much "noise". Few days ago Microsoft Office required license again so I've installed setup version of Kmspico and cracked MS Office (I recently did to activate when I install Office 2016 month ago, but no problem happened). Then after that, laptop started restarting by itself with Blue Screen error after restart completed. First I think this is randomly happening, but then I realized it restarts only while screen is off, I mean after not using laptop its screen turns off normally, passive mode, then go to sleep mode. And although I don't yet detected it 100%, but I think restart happens when laptop is about to go sleep mode. It restarts with BlueScreen instead of go to sleep. After laptop turns on, warning message says something like that: "Unknown problem/error caused system to restart". Btw, because of it happens when the screen is off, I don't actually see bluescreen

Name: BlueScreen

I think 116 is not a real issue. Because when I check event log I see critical error contains 0x00000116 . And this is the thing logging when laptop turns off suddenly, such as when the charge is over. I checked and confirmed. But Code 1055 may differ.

And also I completely uninstalled KMSpico, all the files from ProgramData, Appdata by searching words "kms", "spico", "secoh". And also deleted all the registry entries.
Dump file, system details and error details attached.

Thanks you for taking your time to read this, please if possible, help me because it's not my own laptop and my parent is not comfortable with this issue. Thanks in advance.

Hi

As you have removed, the activator, KMSPICO, i will help you

DO NOT re-install it

Your cleanup attempts will not have completely removed it, there will still be a scheduled task, and possibly malware depending on where you downloaded it from:confused:.

I would opt for another office suite, free ones are available -- Libre office, Open office

OK back to business, reset your Sleep/hibernation settings in Power options
see if that makes any difference, if not please follow the instructions here

Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions

please zip them as per instruction .rar is not required

This is zip version of .rar file I provided. DM log collector zip file wetransfer (it didn't fit to attach because exceeds 4mb.

Update: I've reset power management settings to default, then set screen timeout to 1 minute and sleep mode to 2 minute to test the issue quickly to see if it happens again. Followed process using timer and everything worked normal, laptop went to sleep as it's supposed to be. I'm not sure if a problem still exist, better to observe it again in the morning during normal working conditions. I'll provide update. Regards.

Hi

looks like kmspico was the activator for MS office
There is also another exploit installled for the OS -- the current licence is for a Dell machine not a Toshiba..

Hello, today everything worked normally and system goes to sleep multiple times without any issue. Seems it's fixed. Resetting power management settings to default may worked. I also ran MGA diagnostic tool, there's a possibility that it fixed the issue if tool has repair feature in it. I will be sure tomorrow if it's solved at all. And also I'm going to find affordable Win7 product key and will apply it. Thanks for your help torchwood, greatly appreciated. I will post a last update tomorrow and then will mark this post as solved hopefully. :-)

It happened again two times today, now I'm going to find affordable product key, and also what should I do now? Format, restore or anything in case of the issue is something other than product key (maybe malware etc.). ? Thanks in advance.

I'm going to find affordable product key Thanks in advance.

Highly doubt you will find a working Retail product key for Windows 7, and not an OEM key unfortunately. The only way I know of is from a computer running a retail copy that is no longer being used. Or a Retail Copy from someone who hasn't used it or used it on a computer that is no longer in use.

Does your computer have a Microsoft product key sticker on the side if a Desktop, or on a Laptop, the bottom or in the battery compartment?

In my country, store itself sells a pc and laptops by installing cracked OS and softwares. We are not familiar with "original", everything is hack, crack, trick, cheat, cheap etc.

And this laptop is second hand, we bought a month ago. Honestly, I and my friends always used kmspico on out PCs multiple times, we never had such problems. This time I was in a hurry, probably downloaded it from unreliable source... and boom.

Hi, whatever is this issue, seems I need to reinstall windows 7 or maybe 8, but I will not do. I've disabled autosleep from power management setting, let's see if it restarts when screen is off, although it'll not get into sleep mode. I'm now looking for solution rather than fix. Regards.

I found these errors in Windows Help Center. Same errors happening since I have started experiencing these restart issue. Looks like it's related to graphic card. I'm now checking GPU temperature, but it's normal for now. Graphic drivers is up to date, Geforce 315M driver version 342.01 . Russian error description on the image is "Shutdown unexpectedly". Please help me to fix this, any user, any admin, moderator, thanks in advance.
