Hi

My computer has been crashing and freezing with a buzzing sound playing through my headphones randomly while it is on. It would crash whether it's on the login screen on startup, games, or on the internet. Also, I was only able to get one dump file because before it wouldn't make one.

My Specs:
Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-970A-D3
Processor: AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 975 Processor
Memory: 8GB(4GBx2)

AMD High Definition Audio is disabled. Is this deliberate? If so, why?

Gigabyte EasySaver (and EasyTune6 if installed) will cause BSOD's on some Win7 systems. Please uninstall it.

AMD OverDrive (AODDriver2.sys) is either a stand-alone application, or a component of the AMD VISION Engine Control Center. This driver is known to cause BSOD's on some Win7 systems.
Please uninstall all AMD/ATI video stuff from Control Panel...Programs...Uninstall a program
Then, download (but DO NOT install) a fresh copy of the ATI drivers from Global Provider of Innovative Graphics, Processors and Media Solutions | AMD (in the upper right corner of the page)
Use this procedure to install the DRIVER ONLY: ATI video cards - DRIVER ONLY installation procedure

If the device (AODDriver or AODDriver4.01) remains a problem, open Device Manager, select the "View" item.
Then select "Show hidden devices" and scroll down to the Non-Plug and Play Drivers section.
Locate the AODDriver entry, right click on it and select "Uninstall". Reboot for changes to take affect.
Sometimes the driver remains and continues to cause BSOD's. If this is the case for you, post back and we'll give further instructions for safely removing it.

If overclocking, please stop. Remove the overclock and return the system to stock/standard values while we're troubleshooting. Once the system is stable again, feel free to resume the overclocking.

Hamachi dates from 2009 and may be contributing to the network BSOD's. Please update it with a later version. If you can't locate a later version, please uninstall it until we've fixed the problem.

The BSOD blames your network driver Rt64win7.sys Please update the driver from the Realtek website: Realtek Although I don't expect problems with this, post back if it gives you problems.

The following info is just FYI, I've already addressed the issues that I saw in the above paragraphs

Thank you two for the replies. I have uninstalled and updated all the drivers usasma has listed. It was deliberate that I disabled AMD High Definition Audio because of the buzzing sound in my headphones when it freezes, so I thought maybe it was an audio driver issue, this didn't help though because it still made the sound when it froze after I disabled it. Also here is a screenshot from CPUz.

Please let us know how things progress. I note that your system is overclocked. If not done properly, or with system aging, overclocks can be unstable and cause a myriad of problems.

Good luck.

I haven't experienced any blue screens since my last post. I checked my RAM and it was not compatible, I changed the frequency in the bios to 1333mhz and its been running fine. Thank you guys for your help!
