playing starship troopers FPS under windows 7

any one here ever gottent he 2005 starship trooopers FPS game to work on windoes 7 i can install it fine but when i go to run the exe for the game i get a black screen then a windows 7 has encountered an error message how do i get this game to run under windows 7 and yes i tried compatibility mode and to no avail
