Yes a question to you good folks out there of 7 Forums.
I am diagnosing a error code bios problem, question is if the processor wasn't good, would it still give me a ram beep error code.? From what i know instructions are sent to cpu first then checking ram for errors example: like no ram in system etc! What i'm trying to find out if is my cpu is still good! :)

I believe that you might be correct. If the processor isn't working it will not give a RAM error beep if there is no RAM.

That doesn't mean that critical CPU functions aren't broken. It just means that the CPU is capable of running that minimal BIOS code. There may be other issues with it.

The only way to properly test a CPU that I can think of is to stress test it. That means slapping some RAM in the machine and running a program like Prime95 for a few hours. Make sure that to carefully watch your CPU temps when you do this, especially if you are using stock cooling.

You can get Prime95 here:

GIMPS - Free Prime95 software downloads - PrimeNet

If you're diagnosing a BIOS error code, then the machine is probably not booting, right? Have you tried to reset your BIOS? Have you searched the internet for the error code? What steps have you taken to determine the cause of the error code?
