That's some real heavy voltage there Rod, I would advise against running it that high.

The multiplier there is just what is running at the moment. My 3770K is overclocked to 4.5GHz but ATM, CPU-Z is showing a multiplier of 16 :) Try running IBT and look what happens in CPU-Z.

Those Sabertooth Boards are something else aren't they

ROD the voltage that you had for 4.8Ghz should be the voltage im using for that overclock lol

AMD can handle the voltage I can honestly say i never seen a intel rig over 1.36 V-core can you hear the eletricity going through the board lol

Welcome to Seven Forums one hell of a Rig ;)

Pick a target speed (the norm for a 3770K around here seems to be 4.5GHz) then modify the voltage until it's as low as it can be, yet stable :) All chips are different, so there isn't really an ideal.

I was informed that chip can actually go to 1.52 volts

I have a Sabertooth Board mine is AMD though but it is the same layout pretty much in terms of bios

At 4.5ghz anywhere between 1.2 and 1.3v is fine.

At 4.8ghz mine needed 1.37 v , they recommend not exceeding 1.4v for regular use. That's why I was concerned when I saw your voltage at 4.6ghz.

I assume you are monitoring your temps while you are overclocking?

That's a good voltage too. At that voltage you can keep it running very cool and not have to worry about temps. Nice job.

I have to admit, I've never seen that. Just a suggestion, go to bios and set optimized defaults, set your ram, sata controller, and boot order save and exit. See how it runs that way.

I tried all the obvious stuff. Load optimal defaults, reset bios, set everything to auto. everything!
It's strange that even my gpu is feeling it.
And now, the device manager is saying the iGPU function isn't even there anymore. I think the motherboard is faulty!
