I keep seeing these Cinebench scores, I was a Cinebench newbie.

I downloaded and ran it. CPU at 4.5ghz, GPU at stock settings. I don't know what to make of the numbers. Any good?

I've been having a play again today and tweaked my cpu a bit and it seems that although i've had stable oc's with this cpu. I've not been giving it enough juice on both the v-core and cpu/nb.
Thanks to Tommy for clearing that one up I remeber a post where you said that cpu/nb voltage helped in Cinebench. Score's improved more so in the Open Gl than cpu but an ok little increase.

Here's my latest but still at 4.4Ghz.. Max temp during IBT 45c still
Cinebench Cpu = 5.40,
Open Gl = 50.67,
Memory read, write,copy and latency all improved too @ stock timming's.

I thought about trying to oc my gpu's but after some time on google it seems my kelper boost is already pretty high @ 1175Mhz. So thought i may struggle to get much more out of them. They're not quite hitting the 100% power target even if i raise it. I haven't got the 4pin ez plug connected on my mobo yet though. So maybe that could be why?

I'm not aiming anywhere near the levels some of you do but i'm starting to enjoy it now i'm putting some effort in. I've not got the patience usually.

I think my mobo is a slight restriction as it was an old P67 series purchased on deep discount. Discounted bargain bins is the only way I can even play in this game ! I'm still very happy and thanks Steve. Oh and another shout out to Tommy for the GPU. When I can get some time I want to get my 8 core machine hooked up, updated and play with it as well. Wish I had space to set it up cause just like Tommy's to a lesser degree it just screams.

Yeah now i'm not so worried about that v-core i can get stuck in a bit more. I wanted to keep at the 4.4 for now and just tweak it some to find what it likes.

So I think after almost five years my HX is beginning to die as I'm having power surges every time I play a game. Now it could be heat because every time it happens, I pop off the side panel and it's pretty baked in there. It could be the extensions I'm using or that I need to turn the PSU over so the fan is sucking in air from the 6950 (and itself) and exhausting it - there's a lot of options I have.

I'm not bothered either way because I have until October 18th to have it repaired or replaced, and I have a spare 750 watter I won in a contest years ago that's only been used for tabletop boots and water pump priming.

Alas, nice 'bench score Alan; great OC, ganjiry; and I agree that Solar is a good guy. Now if you'll excuse me my computer is on fire.
