I use Linux as the primary operating system, so I dare to click on insecure links. and I have different computers for different purposes, so no security would be compromised even if this linux computer would be infected. ;)

I have a old AMD XP 3200 on a Asus A7n8X-DL. For what I remember, during installation (even SP3) required to provide the SATA drivers during installation via floppy disk.
With nLite I created a custom installation DVD with the needed drivers. Also removed many useless features like those languages keyboards and other stuff.
I do have all English version XP updates. If you want I can find a way to upload them for you

thanks, i would like to have my OS in swedish even if i can handle english.
okay.... I have not tried to install xp sp3 I got yet. I'm rebuilding my computer room so everything is currently disconnected. So I only have three laptops on my living room table to use right now untill the second room is ready. I expect to have my entire IT system up and running within a few weeks.
So I feel very handicapped right now. :o
But I will remember nLite if I need to mod a install disc. :-)

I will update this thread about the ....successes:dinesh: .......or setbacks:picnic: of my Dell installation.:D
