As one of my Win7 PCs does not have an HDMI port, I bought a USB3 to HDMI adapter this week, so as to be able to see pictures, videos etc. from the PC on the TV (new, Philips 50PUS6504). Installed the adapter driver, rebooted, plugged it in to PC & TV... and on my TV I have a pretty good quality image of my desktop background picture.. but that's all: no cursor, no desktop icons.. and no windows or applications appear when I open them on the PC. Just the background jpeg. If I change the desktop background, the new picture shows immediately, so the connection's there.
Any ideas please why I cannot see any more than the PC's desktop image on the TV - and what I need to do to fix it? (The PC and the TV both show fine as two monitors in nVidia Control Panel...)
Thank you.
