Just for future reference, build 7000 of Windows 7 dosent work with QEMU, I set up a machine with the ISO in the virtual disk drive and set it to boot from said ISO but it didnt want to run.

I downloaded the latest version of VirtualBox and that worked fine, by the way :)

Current windows 7 (7000.0.081212-1400_client_en-us_Ultimate-GB1CULFRE_EN_DVD.ISO) works in qemu 0.9.1 if

qemu -m 1024 . . .

is used. (At least it works in that version of qemu under Ubuntu 8.10 Linux on a 3.2Ghz machine with 2 gigs of ram)

You of course must have a spare 1024Mb of memory for win7 to eat. :)

Thanx but I tried that and it failed to work. Anyone else with an update on this?
