Hello

I just downgraded from windows 10 to windows 7 because I was having loads of issues....

However I CANNOT get my amd display driver installed for the following gpu's:
Radeon 8670M
Radeon 7660G

Whenever I install the latest crimson edition (16.1) The driver installs in less than 10 seconds and I keep getting an Error 43 on radeon 8600m series which I cannot fix, I have tried to do it in safe mode but that didn't work either, uninstalled all the drivers and it still doesn't work... Also, on start this weird dialog pops up from catalyst control center saying something like "Failed to create opengl context..."

How can I solve this issue?

Thanks!

Is this a laptop? If so, you must use the GPU drivers from your laptop's manufacturer in order for them to work properly. Using the generic AMD drivers may cause issues like the ones you are having. Laptop drivers are specially made to take advantage of the sometimes modified hardware in a laptop.

Much better since I got fiber, but still way overpriced.

I'm not sure if that's the problem because the generic drivers work fine on windows 8 and 10. Also installing the manufacturer driver is not possible because my laptop came with windows 8 so no win 7 drivers for it :/

Then I guess you are stuck with the generic drivers. Try an older set of drivers (not Crimson) and see what happens.
