Random BSOD

Hello all. I am new to this forum so I hope I hope I am completing this post correctly. I have just finished building a new Windows 7 Pro 64bit PC and am having random BSOD - no apparent pattern at all. Attached is the Windows_NT6_BSOD_jcgriff2 folder & the PERFMON HTML zip file. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Update these old software\drivers.


Gigabyte EasyTune6 driver Welcome to GIGABYTE TECHNOLOGY


Virtual Serial Port driver for Blackberry http://www.rim.com/products/



Finish with the above steps and post back with any results.

Thanks panais. I have updated the EasyTune 6 driver but I was unable to find an updated virtual serial port driver.

If is not extremely necessary for you uninstall it.

Is too old and it may cause bsod.

Another crash

Had yet another crash this morning. Apperas to be different from at least the last one.

Still crashing

Hi panais - I completely uninstalled the EasyTune 6 and thought I had also uninstalled the virtual serial ports but when I looked in device manager they were still there. I have just uninstalled now. I have recreaded the minidump and perfmon files and they are attached. The other odd thing I've noticed is that 90% of the time it BS's, the system is idle - that is no one is using at the moment. Sometimes it BS's moments after startup and other times after a few hours of use, but almost always when it is not in use. Thanks for your help.

Run 2-3 times the system-file-checker.


Then run http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/105647-ram-test-memtest86.html
leave to run overnight if possible.



Again post back the results.

panais - I have not done the other suggestions as yet but left computer on overnight and all day today and NO crashes. Maybe the blackberry virtual serial ports was the culprit. I will follow your other suggestions as well but thought I would let the PC run to see if it crashes again. Keeping fingers crossed and will report back again tomorrow evening. Hope it's not premature but Thank You very much for the suggestions.
