HWiNFO64 Download can be run in sensor-only mode to determine if the individual cores have sensors. May be worth checking. Have you run
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1538-sfc-scannow-command-system-file-checker.html to check for corrupted Windows files? You may need to run up to
three times to resolve all corrupted files. If you get no integrity violations after the first run, let us know. Also, if you get errors after a fourth run, upload the CBS.log or the sfcdetails.txt file (see OPTION THREE of the SFC /SCANNOW tutorial) to your next post.
Dave76 may have further helpful steps, as well.
Thanks, will try the above. You noticed nothing strange then in the dumps I posted above? Actually, when writing this post right now, PC BSODed twice. Is there any point in posting the ones that happened when writing the posts?
WhoCrashed reports the following:
On Sat 2012-01-28 16:51:12 GMT your computer crashed
crash dump file: C:\Windows\memory.dmp
This was probably caused by the following module: ntfs.sys (Ntfs+0x5A88)
Bugcheck code: 0x24 (0x1904FB, 0xFFFFF88003185478, 0xFFFFF88003184CD0, 0xFFFFF80002FBB007)
Error: NTFS_FILE_SYSTEM
file path: C:\Windows\system32\drivers\ntfs.sys
product: System operacyjny Microsoft® Windows®
company: Microsoft Corporation
description: Sterownik systemu plików NT
Bug check description: This indicates a problem occurred in the NTFS file system.
The crash took place in a standard Microsoft module. Your system configuration may be incorrect. Possibly this problem is caused by another driver on your system which cannot be identified at this time.
On Sat 2012-01-28 16:46:17 GMT your computer crashed
crash dump file: C:\Windows\Minidump\012812-16536-01.dmp
This was probably caused by the following module: ntoskrnl.exe (nt+0x7CC80)
Bugcheck code: 0x1A (0x41284, 0x1BD001, 0x0, 0xFFFFF70001080000)
Error: MEMORY_MANAGEMENT
file path: C:\Windows\system32\ntoskrnl.exe
product: Microsoft® Windows® Operating System
company: Microsoft Corporation
description: NT Kernel & System
Bug check description: This indicates that a severe memory management error occurred.
This might be a case of memory corruption. More often memory corruption happens because of software errors in buggy drivers, not because of faulty RAM modules.
The crash took place in the Windows kernel. Possibly this problem is caused by another driver which cannot be identified at this time.
And for the one earlier today:
On Sat 2012-01-28 12:52:01 GMT your computer crashed
crash dump file: C:\Windows\Minidump\012812-16926-01.dmp
This was probably caused by the following module: ntoskrnl.exe (nt+0x7CC80)
Bugcheck code: 0x1E (0xFFFFFFFFC0000005, 0xFFFFF800031627C0, 0x0, 0x2000)
Error: KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
file path: C:\Windows\system32\ntoskrnl.exe
product: Microsoft® Windows® Operating System
company: Microsoft Corporation
description: NT Kernel & System
Bug check description: This indicates that a kernel-mode program generated an exception which the error handler did not catch.
This appears to be a typical software driver bug and is not likely to be caused by a hardware problem.
The crash took place in the Windows kernel. Possibly this problem is caused by another driver which cannot be identified at this time.
thanks!

I'm rerunning the scannow command upon boot.
Is there a possibility that the Windows installation DVD is corrupted and this causes problems even on a fresh install as it is my case?
