Hi All,

System Specs will give you the hardware info.

The system doesn't appear to crash when I am using it, it has only occured once with a "Memory Management" error, the only other times it reboots is when it is left on, but not in use.

What I mean by this is, I have the screen saver set to an hour, every night I leave the PC on and go to bed, the following morning the machine is off. Turn it back on and it's "Windows has recovered from a system error".

My Graphics Card is fairly high end, I'm not sure if my power supply is possibly being the cause of all the faults due to the load. Never had these problems in Vista 32-bit, however I would have occasional huge slow downs when using my 9600GT.

I am not sure which dump files I need to grab for you guys, please let me know.

Regards,
effektd

By RC do you mean 7100? some 64 bit 7100' hardware combinations have trouble with sleep hibernation. Is there any errors list in event viewer? what power cfg plan are you using performance, balanced, or save?

Welcome effektd,

I run a lot of different computers 24/7. My simple solution is I don't use the screen saver. I just turn the monitor OFF with the monitor switch until I need in ON the next morning. We can probably find the answer to your problem, but we will just have to have you try several different combos of settings.

Good Job on filling in your specs :)

Yes 7100 RC.

Besides reboots and "unexpected shutdowns" the following are what I believe significant errors.

Code:
HAL
The platform firmware has corrupted memory across the previous system power transition. Please check for updated firmware for your system.

Critical

The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.
The Critical error would follow a failed bug check.

There are the occasional GFX error (non frequent) but nothing significant in system or application.

EDIT:

Additionally sorry, I am running on the "balanced" power settings.
I was slightly misleading in my initial post.

Screen Saver = off
Monitor Power Save = 1hour delay

All done via "balanced settings".
