Recover Deleted Windows 7 Recovery Files from Recovery Drive

Dear All,

My colleague mistakenly deleted all the file from the Windows 7 recovery drive, drive is still there and nothing have been copied in that drive after deleting the recovery files. Machine is HP Probook 4530s. Is there any way to restore the windows 7 recovery reset the system to its factory settings?

You might be able to use a free recovery tool like Recuva or MiniTool Partition Wizard. But there are no guarantees that all deleted files will be recovered or that they will be in a usable condition.

It may be safer to contact HP support and buy a set of recovery disks for your particular machine. I'm taking a guess that you are in India?

Dear marsmimar, thank you for the reply,

your guess is almost right but no i am not in India, I am in Pakistan.

I did run a recovery software which recovered apparently all the files the folder structure is messed up. Actually I have exactly two machines of same model, so i tried to copy folders and files exactly as the other machine have in its recovery drive to another drive (not which contains the original deleted recovery). So far i haven't touched the deleted recovery drive.

Actually there are two drives HP-Recovery and HP-Tools. my guess is that HP-Tools contains the files which run the HP-Recovery Setup. HP-Tools seems to be more messed up.

Is there any way to recover with the original folder structure? or can i make recovery drive as per the recovered files?

If there is any way plz let me know or it may b goes wasted as last time i check about 3 years ago HP did not have service station in Pakistan.
