Just follow the instructions, nobody has said anything about "Paste". Just read the instructions through, if there is anything that you don't understand just ask. Please dont just say "Wont paste" when that is not even in the instructions!

what puzzles me how did they get in the bin ? if you did not delete them to go there then suspect maleware/virus? they look like shortcuts due to the arrows? (i am doing what my avatar is doing to my head!!!)

this is me making a shortcut in internet explorer browser on a web page destined for the desktop. have you been doing this then deleting them from the desktop?

Do you visit those sites listed under bin as shortcuts? As mitchelle65 said, have u checked your system for malware?

If no, then pls do the following:

Please download and run this tool.

Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from Here

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.

• Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
• If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
• Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Full Scan", then click Scan.
• The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
• When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
• Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
• When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart. (See Note)
• The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.

Note:
If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts.
Click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process.
If asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately.

I think we need to go back to when Windows 7 was first installed. I think the PC had XP before.
jhmac77, Can you outline what you did to install Win 7 and where did your installation disc come from?

No malware!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Win 7 is from newegg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Installed over XP as instructed by Windows 7. xp was deleted in the process. Who is yelling?

When you installed over XP, was it a clean install? (formated, then installed Windows 7)

If not, then sometimes that could cause strange issues like the one you are experiencing.
