I wouldn't touch the Missing shared DLL's, but you can clean the open with application issue and also the invalid firewall rule. On the registry cleaner, only check and clean unused file extensions, applications, fonts, application files, installer, obsolete software, run at startup, Help files and MUI cache to be on the safe side IMO. Always make a backup of the Registry before cleaning since there had been cases where CCleaner Registry messed up Windows.

So Missing Shared DLLs, ActiveX and Class Issues, Type Libraries, Start Menu Ordering, Sound Events, and Windows Services should be left unchecked?

Is there any more opinions on this matter?

I have all options check ir the Registry cleaner options. If a dll is missing, the reg key for it is unneeded. The invalid firewall rules may be due a program you no longer have so the rule is redundant.
There's my opinion. :D

Actually with CCleaner I have never had any issues cleaning what it finds. Making the registry backup is sound advice though.

Seems a bit conflicting cause one person says don't touch Missing DLLs, other says it's fine.

You'll get that a lot here. :D
Seriously, I do it all the time, multiple times daily with no issues. Also when one asks for opinions.

How about just going back to a restore point before all these problems started.

I have used Ccleaner for years with no porblem. Like any other program that does things to the registry you must be very careful and have the proper knowledge to use it properly.

I have cleaned all disk items and registry issues every time I've used CCleaner for about a dozen years hundreds of times without issue.

The important thing that's become clearer to me as Win7 approaches four years old is that it doesn't much need cleaning or defrag too regularly. So whereas I once advised monthly I now say "approximately quarterly." But if it finds more than a gig of crap or hundreds of registry issues I'd probably do it more often.

I don't know why but my Windows 7's doesn't get fragmented as much like the older systems.

Based on the results CCleaner gathered. Would you guys say it's fine to go ahead and fix them?

Yes, save the backup offered and set a Restore point if you want, make a Win7 backup image if you don't have one already. You're covered.

Keep in mind we don't have a single confirmed case of CCleaner messing up anyone's PC. And we've had a hundred threads about this.
