This time I got a few error codes when the updates installed.

I tried installing the important updates (8 of the 10) and they have installed alright now. Just thought I would try it on the off chance that the computer didn't like installing 40 odd updates at once. The other 2 seem to have disappeared though when I rebooted and haven't reappeared when I checked for updates again. I think this may be fixed, but I will wait for your opinion on those error codes before marking as solved as I have no idea what they meant.

I think it's likely that the errors are due to one of three problems.
1) pre-requisite updates weren't installed at the time
2) the update was obviated by another that had already been installed
3) some updates need to be installed in their own space (to coin a phrase) - so a reboot was required to create that space.

So log as WU is happy, so am I

I've had another 14 updates come up so will wait to see what these do before I mark as solved.

All but one of the updates was successful. I've had a closer look at the history and the same update keeps failing. It seems to be a driver for my Bluetooth adapter, I have tried uninstalling my current driver intending to update the driver once I had gotten rid of the windows update, but no joy. It just comes up with the error code 800f0902 again. Is there anything I can do to get rid of this update? I suppose I could hide it, but is there a more permanent solution?

Please post the complete CBS folder again - after running SFC/SCANNOW and CheckSUR again - and I'll see if there's any new corruption present

My CBS folder is too big to upload even as a compressed folder
sfc/scannow came back with no integrity violations and CheckSUR installed an update

CheckSUR only 'installs' an update - it's the log file that it creates that is important.
we MUST see that file (CheckSUR.log) if we're to get anywhere.
If the forum won't allow you to upload it, use your favourite fileshare site (preferably Dropbox or SkyDrive)and post a link.

There's nothing untoward in the CheckSUR log - the 'errors' it found are normal for an IE10 install on Windows 7

There are no errors in the SFC log - but there are some minor errors in the background CBS.log. These errors don't usually cause us problems.

Please post the c:\windows\windowsupdate.log file, it may give us something to work with.
