Done! What now sir?! :D
TG;

If you have been successful in installing Grub into the Red Hat Linux partition, you can now try this again:

Add this line to the end of your boot.ini:

c:\linux.bin="Red Hat Linux"

Then Dump Linux boot sector to a file. Boot to Linux and type the following:

dd if=/dev/hda2 of=/linux.bin bs=512 count=1

Copy the file: linux.bin from Linux to the C: of your Windows XP and reboot.

It should work this time, and you should be able to boot to Linux through the Windows boot manager.

Cheers!
Robert

Ok. You had me up to the Add the line to boot.ini part..

Dump the linux boot sector to a file? You lost me there

And how will i copy the file. Via flash drive?

In order to copy the Linux.bin 512 file you need to mount a drive to place it in. I used a shared NTFS data drive and The System Rescue cd. After booting yhe System Rescue CD
and reaching the desktop I opened a terminal and ran the mount command to mount
my shared drive then I ran the DD command. I cannot tell you what the mount command is for a Knoppix Live cd because I used the System Rescue CD which has instructions on it to mount an NTFS partition. However that file meeds somewhere to be copied to. somehow you need to
mount your Windowsxp partition and then copy the file to it or create an NTFS in empty space on your drive and copy the file to it.

Thanks all..

Decided to just do over the system. It really really really wasn't an option as the user did not want this. After explaining the situation to her, she finally agreed.

I guess in the end, it's solved.. But not really...

Thanks again!

Would give out more rep.. But it won't let me :(
