Solved remove brass padlock of folder

I have a folder that has a brass padlock on it. what is the easy way to remove it so that I can access the files

Hello Kas,

The lock overlay on the icon of a folder indicates that the folder's share setting is set to "Share with" "Nobody".

If you like, you can use step 2 to remove the lock overlay without affecting your share settings.
