Reoccurring BSOD's (0xD1 & 0x7E)

Nah, its still not showing. I have been told on another forum I should restart my computer and boot it into the last good known configuration. Is this advisble? Will I lose any "progress" I have made on this issue?

As far as I can say, that Q is a 4 GB FFS partition. It may be a side effect of an unix based OS previously installed; or, most probably, a RAID volume.

I would suggest you to perform a http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/219487-clean-reinstall-factory-oem-windows-7-a.html. Before doing it, set your storage controllers to IDE mode (OR AHCI); not SCSI. HP's factory install is highly bloated and resists windows to work at its full native capacity, which is much more stable itself.

And, after the installation, make it sure that you are not using the Intel Rapid Storage at all.

You have to boot into the BIOS, and then change the controller settings to ACHI. Have you converted your disk from RAID to BASIC yet?

No I will do that now, its really hard as my computer is now crashing literally every 3 minutes..

It doesnt give me the option to convert to a basic disk.

Try booting into Safe Mode, and see if that helps at all.

EDIT: According to that program, it appears to already be Basic, have you checked if the same applies with the Disk Management snap in with Windows?

I cant use that program in safemode. Also just checked they are all basic... But I never converted them?!

That is strange, I would work on changing the controller settings in the BIOS to ACHI, and then installing Windows again.

Was there anything about SATA modes?

Actually every BIOS has a different setup, so it becomes difficult to instruct.

Anyway, at this point of time you may go for the clean reinstall.
