Repair Windows 7

OK , Click on this link to download lupu-528.005 https://distro.ibiblio.org/puppylinu...pu-528.005.iso

Use Rufus and make a bootable pen drive with this ISO.

Boot into Lucid Puppy and copy all data to another HDD.

Go to the topic "Recovering files from the non-bootable Internal Drive:" in this thread Lucid Puppy way to recover files from a non-bootable computer

Step by step procedure is well explained in that thread.

Do it and copy whatever files to another HDD. Note that the destination HDD should have been plugged into the laptop and visible in Lucid Puppy for you to mount it and copy all the files.

Copy all the files.

Once you have finished copying whatever files you can, we shall run TestDisk from a bootable pendrive and check what exactly has gone wrong with the disk and whether it is possible to repair it.

If TestDisk says it cannot repair that is it. ( In all probability it will say it can't repair MFT")

Thank you @jumanji, really apreciate it. I will do that, but is a bit hard, because it is laptop, so I need to put hdd on usb, to save files, wasnt much better if I took hdd out from laptop and put it on computer for saving files? I have a PC unit, so I can take that hdd and put on my computer.

Can you take the HDD out of the laptop?
If you take it out, how will you connect it to the other Computer? Internally???
And where will you save the data?
Which will be your destination drive to copy data?
How will it be connected?
Do you have sufficient space in that destination drive to copy all data?

Sabrina34, we both think that your laptop drive is almost dead.
You can generate a D: partition image so you can recover it on the new drive. Hiren's drive have some tools to generate it. I use Macrium reflect.
It's time to think on a replacement. I suggest you buy a 1T SSD .
I have used many crucial-bx500 . Not the best but also not expensive and make your laptop fly.

You will have to reinstall Win 7 on the new drive. If you don't have the recovery files we can help you.

Sorry for the delay, I was at work. Please don't forget me if I answer later, don't leave me so upset and don't abandon me, at least leave me the last hope that I can fix it, I just got back from work, I waiting for 1 tb hdd, and I will mount it on the computer's motherboard. Then I will just follow your instructions, I have part C and part D to copy from the hdd with problems, how is it better to copy? Copy/Paste? Total commander or another program from partition D? Where do I have photos, documents, personal files, other than partition C. And partition C, where windows is, it's better to clone it and save the clone on the 1 tb hdd or just copy/paste all files from windows C partition?

@Sabrina34,
You have to work to a plan.
@Megahertz07 has suggested that you buy a 1TB SSD to replace the 1TB HDD in your laptop and reinstall Windows 7 . That is a different issue

As for data recovery, he has suggested that you image your present D: in the laptop and recover the data from that image. I do not know whether it is possible but I shall leave it to him to guide you on the specifics.

As for my suggestion, you said you can take out the HDD from the laptop, put it inside the Desktop. In that case, i have asked you to post the screenshots of Windows Disk Management when done. After seeing that, we will run TestDisk and check what exactly is the problem and whether it can be fixed with TestDisk. You can do it at your leisure. No need to hurry. I shall be peeping into this thread now and then and will catch you when I see the screenshot. Do not worry about it.

Right now my time is 21:24Hrs and so I will be closing down for the day.leaving. Megahertz07 to continue on his track and guide you.

@Sabrina34,

Before I go to bed here are two threads which you can read. It will just give an overview of what we shall do with TestDisk. Just read. Whether you understand or not does not matter..When we run TestDisk I shall give the step by step instructions for you to follow.

WD Elements being read as RAW // Contents readable through app

Restore last data on external HDD - Windows 10 Forums

And when you remove the 1TB HDD from the laptop: It will be a 2.5" HDD. . Without a converter tray, you may not be able to fix it into the 3.5" HDD slot in the Desktop. Just wrap the 2.5"HDD with thick paper and run a sticky tape around on the paper to keep it in place. Connect the sata and power cables and place it in a stable place. The paper cover will prevent any metallic part of the 2.5"HDD touching the PCB in the system thus preventing any short circuit. I think you are capable taking care of it.

Yes Sabrina34, I'm good.
Once you install the laptop HDD on your desktop we will see what can be done to save your data.
I don't think you can do a C: partition image as it is corrupted
Making an image of your D: partition must be your priority as it has most of your data. A image is a kind of zip file of the whole partition or drive. Making an image is faster and requires less drive space than copying all files and folders.

Hello, I will try to make a resume of everything, with pictures and programs that I have for clone or do an image. If I try to copy files from D drive with Total Commander, is bad idea?

- - - Updated - - -

I dont know what is best way to copy files without stress that hdd to much :( And try to copy as much files that is posible, all if posible from D partition.

As I already mentioned, I suggest you make a D: image as it is faster and require less backup disk space.
For C: it is best to use Total Commander

Don't write anything to the HDD. Only read and copy the files.

Make sure your desktop don't try to boot from the Laptop HDD and don't let it run check disk on it. That is Jumanji department.

Some of your program settings, passwords, email contacts and so on are likely to be in your user\username\appdata folder.

I suggest you make an image of the windows partition to make sure that is all saved.
