Solved Replace 512MB GeForce 7950 GT

I have read about bench test psu and i don't know what else. If anyone could tell me can i replace Replace 512MB Ge Force 7950 GT with a ASUS NVIDIA GTX550 TI PCI-E Graphics Card - 1GB or is it not that simple. thanks for any help in advance. Nick

As long as the power supply is up to it as the 550 Ti uses more power than the 7950, it's as easy as,

1. Uninstall the current driver and power down.

2. Remove the old card and put in the new.

3. Boot up and install the driver for the new card (latest from Nvidia and not what is on the disk).

If the power supply isn't up to it ( a good quality 500W or higher), then you will also have to get a new power supply.
