Revo is a very good Uninstaller, as far as I can remember the Pro version has registry cleaning. If you're into that, it's worth it. Have you tried Your Uninstaller 2010, it's a pretty decent program.

Never used any version, but have suggested its use to many posters with problems. None have indicated that the problem would have been resolved more easily with the paid version, as they did with other software, like disc-digger. Unless you are one of the wealthy, today, save your money. For the amount of time it will be used it will not make that much difference.

The pro version would be required for programs that reside in the x64 library. The free version only works on programs in the x86 library.

I use Revo(free version) and have no need to pay for Pro for the registry portion.
I stay completely away from any registry software. One little typo and I would be doomed. IMO

I have started using the free edition of Revo Uninstaller and really like it so far. I see the Pro version has some cool features. Download Revo Uninstaller Freeware - Free and Full Download - Uninstall software, remove programs, solve uninstall problems So is anyone using the Pro version at all and is it worth purchasing

Here is a link to a page giving differences between the normal and the Pro version.
Download Revo Uninstaller Freeware - Free and Full Download - Uninstall software, remove programs, solve uninstall problems

I especially like the cleaning of left-over registry entries and files left behind.

This is a product which deserves the five stars it has received.

The free version left all of the crap that OpenOffice put in my registry. Several hundred entries that I cleaned out by hand. I can't say I would recommend it. Cleaning out the old registry entries is what these things are supposed to do.

I used to use the free version of Total Uninstall and it was very good albeit somewhat slow. Don't know if it would run on Win7 x64.

You might not have used the "advanced" option. It would be unusual that Revo leaves registry items behing - provided you operated Revo correctly.

That is correct. Missed that one.

Thanks,

I'll give it another chance :)

I have been using Revo for a long time. It is for 32 and 62 bit. It's always worked great for me if you follow the instructions correctly. Like any program like this if you do it wrong you can cause damage to your operation system.

I wish I could find Revo useful, but it doesn't ever work for me. I've given a try a few times, and it often would sit there, after prompting it to remove software. maybe if there was a simple list of steps, I'd be willing to give it a shot. I would try simple apps already installed on the system, and when I'd choose them from the list, and instruct to software to remove them, nothing would happen. For now, I just do a simple uninstall, and then run CCleaner.

Is there any difference with Revo Uninstaller and CCleaner's uninstall function?

I don't really have the time to go install now and see for myself.
