Solved Secure Partition

Good day everyone.

I want to know whether it is possible to create a partition that won't be deleted during a new Windows install. I want to use the partition for Data backup. Many new Windows installations require a clean install.

It's not possible to create such a protection. At the time Windows is installed, you have full system access, meaning you can do literally anything, including deleting partitions and all its data.

The same applies when you run a normal Windows installation and give programs administrator rights, then can do whatever they want.
Your only real "solution" is to be careful when you handle such a disk. Installing Windows does never require you to delete any partition or data (it doesn't even requirees to format the partition it's installing to).

Thank you very much for your feedback.

When converting from GPT to MBR you have no option to "Clean" your drive or at least that is what I know.
