Shutdown on startup

Greetings,

I've recently pretty much built myself a new computer and everything has been running smoothly.
Yesterday, Windows 7 wanted to make an update. Alright I thought. It was huge, I think, 43 updates.
I let it run it's course while I went to bed.
Today when I woke up and started my computer it started running as usual, but it doesn't connect to my monitor or anything. It just runs as if it's being turned on for a while, then shuts itself down. I've tried starting it over again and tried clicking the reset button. Nothing helps.
I also unplugged the external fans and tried to start it like that but to no avail.

I'm running on Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. P5Q deluxe motherboard.

Help will be highly appreciated, I already spent my whole weekend organizing my formatted computer into what it was before. Wouldn't be that fun having to do it again... But since my computer won't even acknowledge that a monitor, keyboard, or anything is plugged in right now - I doubt I'd be able to do a reformat.

Hi,

When you switch the computer on do you at least get a P.O.S.T screen before it attempts to load Windows? If not then the error could possible be hardware related and simply a coincidence.

If you can get at lease the startup screen you could try and see if it boots in Safe Mode. Sometimes booting in Safe Mode, restarting, then booting normally can solve issues :)
   Tip
Press F8 repeatedly until you get the boot selection menu appear

I don't get any kind of messages when I boot up my computer. Not any screens, no nothing. The keyboard isn't glowing either so it's not connected at all.

It starts for a bit, as in, just making sounds. And then shuts down.

I suppose the biggest chance is that it's hardware related, and if it is - then that's the most terrible coincidence I've ever experienced. Since there were no problems before and this only started happening after the Windows Update.

Any suggestions on what I could do to see if it may be hardware related?

I would look to unplug everything from the machine including the power cable then plug just the power & monitor cable in to see if you at least get the P.O.S.T screen

I detached all of my RAM memories and put them back in, now it's working. A strangely simple solution, I'm glad it was solved.
Thanks.
