I'm obsessed with airpano.ru. When viewing a place on high resolution, my system's temperature rises to within eight degrees of TJ max (72 degrees). Each core is running at 100%.
Would a new graphics card solve the problem or do I need a whole new system ?
Suggestions, please.

uySounds like your system needs more ram because its pushing itself to the limit. I see you have 8gb; however it appears that is not sufficient to power the graphics card. I would up the amount of ram thats in your system and see if that does anything. Also; as for the temps; take the fan off the cpu and make sure the thermal paste hasnt degraded. The reason i say that is thats what happened to me about a week or so ago. The temp of my cpu was spiking to dangerous temps. I had to replace the processor anyways so at the same time i put new thermal paste on the heat sink and that took care of the issue; so i would check that as over time the paste degrades from heat.

Also have a pretty bad speaker setup which is a klipsch promedia 5.1 surround speaker setup with huge subwoofer and lg blu ray player/writer. Also a hp officejet pro 8600 plus wireless all in one and a logitech s7500 webcam.
I'm not sure about lack of memory, maybe you should check it with task manager, but normally if the system is low on memory it would have to swap memory to hard drive back and forth and wait for slow data access, therefore shouldn't be running 100% and run cooler. I never used airpano myself but typical 1080p screen uses about 6MB, you have 8GB minus 3 GB for Windows and program, you're left with 5GB for data or little less than one thousand 1080p screens, so I don't think this is your problem. I had Phenom in my last laptop, I could undervolt it using AMD utility by about 0.2 volts and it run 10C cooler, just spend good time checking stability before going too low. If you have some experience, reapply paste on your cpu, or maybe even get better cpu cooler. If you believe the heat is your problem try to fix that first, but are you sure Phenom Tj max is 80C? The Phenom I had run at 80 C every time I had it at 100% load and I don't think it was throttling, then I undervolted it and left it alone, the i5 I have now has Tj max 105C and it gets there under 100%load. As far as new system goes: If you happy with the performance now let it be, if it breaks from heat (it shouldn't) then you get new, better system, if you're not happy with the performance, replace the system now running hot or not, simple as that.

The TJ Max is 72 according to CoreTemp. When I'm running a pan, I get up around 64 degrees and the pan runs perfectly. I was hoping to lower the 100% core usage (on all four cores BTW) which would probably lower the temperature. So, I was looking for CPU and/or video card suggestions to possibly lower the CPU usage and temperature.
Also, I updated the PSU to a Seasonic 430W.

I found this quote:
"So for example Phenom IIs have a recommended 62C "Core Temp" limit while not exceeding 60C for extended periods.
It has long been argued that the recommended limit is merely a larger safety net. There is a thermal shutdown in the chip at 90C and the silicone is rated for 97C+. end of quote.
I always thought tj maxx was thermal shutdown, which for Phenom is actually 90C and I'm surprised they recommend 60C, that's idle temp on my Sandy Bridge laptop i5. Anyhow to lower temperature I would really suggest undervolting, if available, don't cost anything and if done properly can lower temps, without any penalty. Maybe you could upgrade to faster CPU using same socket, assuming your BIOS supports it, for about 20-30% speed up or try to overclock what you got and see how that goes. As far as GPU goes, you really should check it's load first, you could be totally wasting money upgrading it, if the program doesn't use it that much. But if you really want top of the line performance, I hate to say it, but Intel I7 with new MB is best albeit expensive option. And I say it again, at least use GPU-z to see load and temperatures on your GPU, if it's worth bothering with the upgrade.

Before parting with any money I would open up and clean the system paying particular attention to cpu and gpu heatsinks and fan blades, giving them a good clean can dramatically help if they are all clogged up with dust which can soon accumulate

Yeah i agree, give it a super good clean out, a can of compressed air is your best bet, 8gb is WAY more than enough ram to power a 6670, my brother has an AMD Phenom 2 x6 1100t clocked at 3.7ghz, 8GB ram and a 3GB Sapphire 280x.. he has no issues what so ever with temps or lack of power. Give it a clean out and get back to us cheers.
