Some Updates on Clean Install Won't Install

Hi,

I just did a clean install of Windows 7 Home Premium x64. I've been running through all the updates, and most have installed just fine, but a few won't complete.

Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.1 on Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 for x64-based Systems (KB2972211)
Security Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB3023562)
Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2761217)

I've tried restarting and re-running update several times, but no luck. I've run the Update diagnostic tool and the system update readiness tool, but that hasn't helped either. I've also tried manually installing these updates, but I get the message "The update is not applicable to your system"

The diagnostic tool gives these messages:
Windows Update error 0x80070057(2015-02-11-T-08_58_26A) Not Fixed
Problems installing recent updates Not Fixed
Cryptographic service components are not registered Not Fixed
Service registration is missing or corrupt Fixed

One other thing to note, this is the second clean install that I have done. I did an install the other day and had this same issue come up. After trying for a while to fix it, I decided to just re-install again and see if that would help. It hasn't, but interestingly the updates that are failing are different this time.

I've attached my CheckSUR.log files, but it doesn't seem to do any good to me.

Those Updates may not even be needed. I would give it time with Updates set to Automatic for it to sort itself out.

Be sure to also install all Optional Updates as there may be some precursor Updates there, too, and sometimes there are vital patches and drivers queued there.
