Sound OK on Skype - Everything else = Silence?

Tower PC with Gigabyte 78LMT Mainboard Win7 Ultimate 32 Bit.
It has Realtek Audio built-in.
Obviously I loaded all drivers etc...
Using my Headset Only...
Sound OK on Skype, but everything else just Silence?

In the notification area (down by the clock)...
...right click on the speaker icon
...select Sounds from the context menu:



Once the window opens, select the tab named Communications.

Select the option for Do nothing

Click on Apply.

You can leave the window open while you test sounds.
