SSD trouble on new build.

I recently built a hackintosh and am dual-booting Win 7 Professional and OS X Lion. Previously I had Win7 and Lion installed on a WD Blue 1TB HDD and all was fine. Newegg just ran a special on the Crucial M$ 64GB SSD (65$ :D ) and I could not help myself, I jumped on it. I am trying to install Win 7 on this SSD and all I keep getting is errors either referring me to the bios when selecting the partition to install to or an error saying it can not be installed to that partition. The partition is NTFS. I am using this SSD with a Gigabyte Z68X-UD3H-B3 on the latest bios. Is there a specific port I should be using? I thought maybe it might be a driver issue with Windows not recognizing it (like in the old XP days when it came to some sata HDD's), but the Gigabyte website shows what I think is 4 different drivers for sata.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Are you going through the part of the install where you can view/repartition the disk as you go? I usually unpartition some empty space and then let windows install in the unpartitioned space. I think it prefers to find empty, unpartitioned pace to install into...

The disk is already partitioned for ntfs and I'm able to delete the partition which makes it free space.

Were you partitioning like half the drive to install windows on? Is that why you partitioned it before? Or were you going to use the entire drive for Windows 7?

25 for Mac and the rest for windows. Same as I did with my mechanical hdd but obviously less space.

Have you tried the install with just the 25 for the mac and the rest empty yet?

Though this is sounding like it's beyond my install experience :( But I was sure that last time I did something like this the installer asked if I wanted to install in the unpartitioned space on the drive right off and I said Yes and it went...

Voip. Insanely cheap phone calls.
TBH I do not know if it has the latest firmware nor would I know how to update it without a windows machine. Also, I don't know if installing it to the OSX partition would work seeing as if the NTFS one didn't even though I deleted the partition and formated it within the Win 7 Installer.

I just recently got the Crucial M4 128Gb. The firmware update is a good idea - I updated mine, but I doubt that it has anything to do with your installation problem.

This just MIGHT have something to do with the problem:

I do remember that when I first set up the SSD in Win Disk Management, I was prompted whether to use GPT or MBR for partitioning. From what I've read, MBR should be used for your situation. I'm afraid I don't know how to tell you how to change from GPT to MBR or vice-versa. I only saw this once when going into Disk Management.

have you set the disk management in the bios to AHCI, also (just in case) unplug any other drives and ensure the ssd is in port 1.
Are you installing windows first then installing OSX or the other way round?
