Startup problems

I have had a lot of start up problems of late, and when I run sfc/scannow (3 x's)I get the following:

Windows resource protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. Some details are included in the CBS, Log.windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.Log

Is there some way to fix this or do I need to take my PC to a repair center. Startup is erratic. Some mornings it will start fine, others not at all. Then I might find the Windows startup notation but nothing happens, or I automatically see the Windows repair going on, only to tell me it could not repair anything.
I then have to a system restore.

Lastly when I check devices, every once in a while there will be an error mark on the PC itself. I run fixit and it appears as though there are drivers missing from i: h: etc.. Fix it repairs them but again this can happen every two or three days. Just tired of trying to find a solution.

Did you try to see what programs are auto-ran in your PC at start-up? To do this, type "msconfig" on the search bar after clicking the START button. Then, click the STARTUP tab. Uncheck all unnecessary programs, and if you want, just leave only the Antivirus checked.

EDIT: Don't forget to restart your PC after unchecking items at STARTUP tab. This will apply the new settings. If I'm not mistaken, it will ask you to restart it.

Another thing, If what tephen04 told you don't fix your problem, try establishing a Clean Boot ;)

Establish a Clean Boot from Troubleshooting Steps for Windows 7. Run SFC up to 3 times to see if it will repair or replace the files. If not you can consider the Repair Install.

The problem can relate to the inferior Factory Preinstalled Win7 with all of the bloatware and duplicate utiltiies which interfere with better versions built into Win7, throttle Win7 from its native performance and can cause problems.

That's why most tech enthusiasts will not run such an install but instead Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7. Everything is provided in the blue link tutorial.

At the minimum I'd Clean Up Factory Bloatware.

I appreciate all your answers here, but I am just not that PC savvy. Your solutions sound like they are much too complicated for me. Perhaps I better take my PC in for repair.

Barnum,
You can do this ! It's follow the steps and have fun while you learn.....ask questions if you don't understand something. Every time you add software and programs they place themselves in the start up and this uses resources and slows the boot down. If any changes you make you're not happy with you can easily undo them.
Try to establish a clean boot as Greg has linked above, follow the tutorial advice and just go slow.
