I want to make this post because of two things.

1. I want to suggest you guys an amaying hardware to overclock with.

2. i want to confirm the amazing speed increas

So i build a new system:

i5 2500k 3.2 ghz succesfully overclocked to 4.3 ghz stable (with stock voltage, and no temperature over 57 degrees on air!) (i made a 24 hour stress tesst with the temperature going up to 62 at max but avrage at 55-56.)
my motherboard is a asus p67 (to be honest i really suggest all of their moddles and they can all do about the same thing) these are great boareds to overclock with. 8Gb of dd3 ram kingston hyperx 1333 mhz i have increased tho voltage just a bit for max performance. With that i have 2 500gb hard drives and 1 50gb ssd. My new graphics card the evga geforce 560 gtx ti is amazing for everthing i have this one overclocked ass well. Right now all of this is running in a quite cold case. This is perhabs one of the fastes, clodes, quietes computers i have ever saw. I am suggesting this hardware to anyone looking for a upgrade.

PS: I actually would sugest the i5 2500k instdead of the i7 2600k. The 2500k is overclockable to about the same level as the 2600k but it is allot cooler and costs less!

Personally I would rather have the i7 bridge/motherboard.
It's about more than just raw frequency.

To each his own though that is impressive.

Just remember that as with all automobile mileage claims "your mileage may vary". Same goes with chips and chip sets they all don't over clock the same. I'm happy you've been able to achieve an impressive oc on air. I'm just happy someone isn't asking how to oc their laptop ! lol inside joke !
On a different note, did you take pictures of your build and post them on "show us your rig"?

I hit 5Ghz with my i5-2500k, but I wasn't comfortable with the voltage it was running at so I keep it at 4.5Ghz.
These chips OC pretty damn well.
