Switch Admin with standard

I had a prob lem with my Wacom Intuos 4 tablet. It stopped working and Wacom support said it was caused by an Windows update. They told me that I should create a new user and install the driver there. I did create a new used and installed the driver, which made the Intuos 4 work again, but not with any of the programs I use it with (Adobe programs). All of those were installed in my Admin account, the only account I had on the machine. If I make the new account an Admin account and my old account a standard one will the driver installation be available in all accounts? If I open Photoshop in the new account, it does not have my preferences, etc. I don't really want to reinstall everything in the new account and redo the preferences. Any ideas?

Does everything work ok if you log on to your original account?

No. But a Wacom tablet is not something like an iPad or a Surface. It's an interactive pen display used for fine work in creative apps such as Photoshop or Illustrator or for drawing. It is not a mini-computer.
