System repair disk problem

Here's the write-up:

GO TO A COMMAND PROMPT USING A SYSTEM REPAIR UFD

1) Insert the System Repair UFD into a usb port.
2) Shutdown your computer.
3) Boot up your computer.
Immediately start hitting the F12 key
Choose USB from the menu.
4) Wait while a mini-version of Windows is loaded and finally the System Recovery Options dialog appears.
5) Remove the UFD. The UFD is no longer needed.
6) SYSTEM RECOVERY OPTIONS dialog |
will show Select a keyboard input method |
NEXT button
7) SYSTEM RECOVERY OPTIONS dialog
will search your system for installed versions of Windows.
8) SYSTEM RECOVERY OPTIONS dialog |
select the Use recovery tools that can help fix problems starting Windows radio button |
NEXT button
9) SYSTEM RECOVERY OPTIONS |
will show Choose a recovery tool and list the following |
System Repair
System Restore
System Image Recovery
Windows Memory Diagnostic
Command Prompt

10) Click on System Repair

your all confusing me but i borrowed a installation cd obviously of the same build from the tech guy around my area so i copied the files over myn on my usb , and i see that option now Repair your computer so thanks anyway

I find that tutorial to be scrambled and rambling. Some great screenshots.

Also does not cover the booting from a UFD.

The only trouble is that is not the screens I get when I boot from my System Repair disc.

They are close but no cigar. I can get where I want to go but for someone who hasn't been there, they can get confused when the screens and screen sequence is not precisely what is in the tutorial.

The tutorial is excellent but needs to be updated/amplified to cover the actual System Repair disc operation and the slight difference when booting from UFD.
