Hi,
I have recently had some problems with my laptop. Error reading from hard disk when booting, did clean instal then user accounts gone etc. They all have been solved and after that it started to run slower and slower and frezing up constantly now.
So:
I can start windows in safe mode, it doesn't freeze that much but still sometimes.
I can start it in safe mode plus networking, but i can only use internet for like a minute or so, then it freezes.
I can start windows normaly, but it takes more time than usualy to connect to internet and when it connects to it ( if at all ), i click anywhere and it freezes up.
In my case freezing up means I get this waiting/loading state in which i can move the cursor, but can't do anything.

Also my hard drive gets very hot, so i'm not really sure if it's windows or hardware problem.
Any thoughts?

Not really, but i scanned it few times before the freezing problems, when it was only slow. Cought nothing.

Oh and AntiVir cought and deleted something in Skype directory today ( i only downloaded Skype yesterday ). But don't think it's relevant.

Ok, thanks.

Also, I'm on safe mode with networking and it didn't freeze for like 20 minutes or so. I think that's because i'm only using seven forums. Usualy it freezes while loading some ad or something made of flash.
But that's only safe mode with networking. I can't even open a browser on normal boot.

Edit: spoke too soon, it did it again whil i was at another thread in these forums. It's like i can browse through some set amount of data, then freeze.

Can't open browser with normal boot and your hard drive gets excessively? hot. Again I'm not as knowledgable as so many of our members here but there seems to be a relation there.

My suggestion, turn your computer off and let it cool down, come back in say 15-30 minutes and see what responses you have as it seems you have limited time to be online.

Tried to let it cool down, then restart, even have removed the hard drive to cool it faster, but it loads kind of slow and it gets hot fast after i turn the laptop on again.

More general details are required -

What other Security Programs have you running? [ AV, Firewall, anti malware etc]

Are your Security Programs updated regularly?

Is Windows updated regularly?

How long have you had these problems?

Have you checked in Event Viewer to see what is listed that could provide clues as to what is going on?

Have you a System Restore point prior to this problem occurring?

Do you do regular Computer housework? [ defrag etc]

What is
your network set up ?

Do you have an OS DVD to repair, or a backup to restore from?

Have you had any BSOD's?

Any further information you can give us might help.

I only got AntiVir and yes, it is updated regulary.
No Windows updates.
The laptop is slow for few weeks now, as i previously said i had some problems - couldn't boot windows, got an error saying it can't read from hard disk press alt ctr del to restart, then did a clean instal of windows 7, it worked good for a day or so, then it got slow, couldn't come out of hybernation, couldn't boot properly, and now all this freezing.
Got no sys restore point.
Yes i do the computer housework sometimes, did alot of it when it got this buggy.
Local area network
Got a DVD but not here, it's at home where i'm gonna go in a week
Had no BSODs
I'm not familiar with event viewer, so i don't really know what you want me to show or tell you.
Just did a memory check - it found nothing.

Yes, did that. Thanks. It took forever, but it worked and normal boot did not freeze so far. It still works kind of slow and with temporar freeze ups.
