Since I discovered the "Event Viewer" I've been overwhelmed with the amount of error messages I'm getting. I've been going crazy trying to fix all of them, then I looked back through the event history and saw that there were error's starting in August; 4 months before I bought this computer. I guess my question would be, i it normal to get all of these error messages, and if so which ones should I actually look out for and resolve?

I think this articel will help you to understand and to relax.

I have the same situation with errors. I am concered only about warnings and in the event of a problem, then I get concerened about errors.

My honest opinon, is forget about it unless there is a problem, then the event viewer can be a valuable tool to help you correct the problem.

What is the Event Viewer, and should I care?

Whether this is right or wrong, it is pretty much how I deal with it also. It would be nice if their were no errors, but I think that if I always attempted to fix every one of them, I would probably end up making more. When I know that a particular error is involved in a problem that is actually occuring in a manner that interferes with the normal functioning of the OS, I'll go digging there, but more often than not, I find the answers in the minidumps.
