The Godfather 1 game issues

Recently i pulled out my old copy of the godfather to replay, but autorun did not work. None of the exes on the disk (autorun.exe and the install exe) did anything. I then looked on troubleshoot and went online and apparently it doesnt work with Windows 7. Can anyone think of something that I could do to get it working?

i fixed it!

i have fixed it i just went to the games exe and clicked compatability and went to windows vista (just windows vista) and then underneth it i clicked in run in 640x480 screen settings so the game started but the screen was all messed up so i clicked the button on the moniter and went to the settings to change the screen verticly and horizontally to make it normal but it wasent normal so i changed the resalution and taadaa! i fixed it i dont no if its just my computer that will do this or if its everybodys i have a 64bit so try it out... your welcome xD

It's not working i did what lTyll said but it didn't help i even change the name of the "movies" file in the main directory ( C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Godfather The Game) to "_movies".

Can anyone help me.

I have Win7 64-Bit.

I have a small laptop it has Win7 32bit i did what lTyll said and the game is working fine, But i can't play on the small laptop, I don't know why its not working on Win7 64bit.

It may be a compatility issue and the game simply doesn't perform under a 64-bit OS. The other issue could be that you're running an old beta version of Windows 7, which isn't the same as the RTM.

Unfortunately I have no other suggestions to offer

It's still not the RTM (Final release). I'm not saying the game is going to work with the RTM either, so...

More than lightly the reason it wont run on x64 is that it is being instaled to the x86 folder.....with just cause 2 because it was made for x32 it does not work iin the x86 folder but when i instaled it to C:/ it worked perfectly. I do not have the godfather game but i think this will work. hope this helps. :S
