The 'blob' in the read-only box is there because tehre are some file which are still tagged as read-only by design - the 'blob' is a 'mixed state' flag as opposed to the tick or blank.
Folders cannot be made read-only - only their contents.
CCLeaner is very good - but NEVER use the Registry Cleaner part of it - its default settings are too aggressive, and messing with them can cause great harm to the system. There is NO such thing as a 'good' registry 'cleaner' or 'optimiser'.
