I have this portable external drive of 1TB. How do I make this into an SSD? Do I have to delete all the in-built files and application like the Portable SecretZone and the Samsung Drive manager first?

You cannot make a HDD into a SSD. Those are two completely different technologies.

No. You may want to read up on SSDs.

Fun is for 'off topic'. But a poor individual that does not (yet) know the ropes needs help to get the facts. I have seen many of those blue eyed OPs. To some I even offered help via email and have been following them for several years. Eventually they could paddle themselves.

I made a ton of little tutorials for simple things like "the difference between files and folders". For us it is difficult to understand that someone would not know that, but everybody has to start somewhere.

God bless your heart (and all your other internal organs) for remembering that! Many times on other forums I have encountered geeks that simply couldn't grasp the concept that some people may not know things they consider to be obvious.
