Today the UK Government announced the new regulations regarding the Universal Jobsearch programme. In essence it means that all unemployed people in the UK who are in receipt of benefits will be required to register. They will be sent details of job vacancies that they might be suitable for and if they don't apply for the vacancies then they will have to give a good reason for not applying. Failure to give a good reason may lead to them loosing their benefits. Clearly this is to try to get the shirkers off the backs of the tax paying public. I wonder if a good reason for not applying for any full time vacancies will be that you need the time to take your dog for a walk? Full details of the scheme are here:
