We took our 6 year old and 3 year old little grandsons to see the model train show at the Milwaukee Discovery Center Museum. Does anyone know any little boys that don't love model trains? They loved it --- and now there's hidden video cameras inside the trains so the kids can watch themselves on the monitors watching the trains. And of course making silly faces! Very cool!

Today is Sunday and I have a Patriot Guard Rider mission in Fernandina Beach for the funeral services of a young soldier killed in Afghanistan. I also have have a mission on Tuesday in Orlando for another soldier killed in Afghanistan. These are such sad missions. My heart goes out the families, especially at this time of year.

That's good of you to do, Carl.....sad as it is that you have to do it. I wish all our troops over there could come back stateside.

Thank you, Randy, and me too. Having been through what those families are going through, I want to give them them what little support and comfort I can.

Came back to camp a little while ago due to excessive amounts of rain. As i am on nightshift, i have to be extremely quiet, so the neighbours on dayshift don't wake up.
Providing it doesn't rain too much more, i should be flying home on thursday for a week's R&R.

Can't hardly wait as i'll get to see my grandson.

As Joan said Kari , you keep it your side , The older you get snow loses it's appeal when you have landed on your bum a few times

today i had to walk two miles into town, and two miles back with a lot of shopping in a rucksack.

roads were unsafe for my two wheels...and i am so unfit...

That's why I only use four legged transport, with snow shoes.

I feel useless, can not take part in Christmas preparations. Angie is on sixth gear all the time, running from us to her mother's and back, driving around the city taking us two disabled to do shopping, cooking in two places, doing everything alone.

It's nice Christmas is so close, but I'm going to quite happy also when it's over...
