Hi guys! Im haven't used windows since XP was out so im a noob with windows 7. I just built my computer and have windows booted up on my SSD. I want to use my HDD for games, files, etc, however I cant seem to use it.

I go to disk management

When I clock on format this comes up

Currently the HDD is empty and has not been used. Thanks guys I really appreciate the help!

Disk 1 is totally empty? If so, do in elevated command prompt

Code:
diskpart
list disks [B][COLOR=royalblue](is it really disk1????)[/COLOR][/B]
sel disk 1
clean
exit
Reboot and try again

If Kaktussoft's solution doesn't work, you might want to check out this free software for managing partitions:

EaseUS Partition Master 9.1.1 Home Edition

I've typically had more luck with that than using Windows' built-in tools.
