Fresh install of Firefox

Well it's up to you. Personally here's what I would do:

Use MozBackup to restore your bookmarks and extensions but when restoring your backed up profile only check (tick) the boxes for anything that you want to keep from your old profile.

As for MozBackup - you can uninstall it but it does come in handy once in a while if Firefox screws up you can fresh install Firefox without loosing your profile as long as you've backed it up.

If you know what you're doing it's possible to copy the files needed to restore elements of your old profile from the old Profile folder and .ini file.

As for those add ons - if everything is working no need to worry. Those types of add ons are ones that I tend to keep installed but leave them set to "disabled" and only enable them when needed.

When you update Firefox and get a new version it doesn't always go smoothly and things can screw up. My preference is to keep a back up copy of my profile handy just in case.
