I used a docking station today to format a new drive and was going to copy my digital photos HDD to it but nothing is showing up in Computer but my OS, the optical drive and my digital photos drive. I had assigned the USB connected drive as letter (R) but it's not showing anywhere. Am I overlooking it?

I've got it now. I went into Disk Management and right clicked on that drive and changed the drive letter. It now appears and I've made the transition of copying the photos from (F) drive to the new (S) drive. There was about 76G of photos on that drive so it may take a while.

Does the drive show in Computer Management, Disk Management? It had to at least once to get a drive letter assigned.

Yes, it does. I'm on my last 15 minutes of getting this drive cloned. I'm gong to install it in the Windows 7 computer. I think I'll have to break a tab off to install it from what I saw in the manual
