Usb drive showing up as cd rom

So i tried to format my computer with an iso mounted onto a usb drive, The install fails, said somethings missing out of the file. Since this hard drive has been failing (converted itself to raw) i believe that the download has failed so im downloading it on another pc. Thing is i cannot format the usb drive i used the first time. Its showing up as a cd drive please help. Also its not showing up on Disk part, List disk either.

OK, you have a Flash Drive and it shows up as a CDROM drive. Strange indeed.

Now tell us

1. the make/model and capacity of the pen drive. For example I have a SanDisk Cruzer Blade 32GB.

2. Did you buy it? In other words, is it a commercially available consumer flash drive? I recently bought a HP v215b 32GB flash drive.

3. In "My computer" it appears as a CDROM drive. Post a screenshot.

4. How does it appear in Device Manager?

5. Does it appear in Windows Disk Management? If yes, again a screenshot will help us understand any peculiarity.

6. Also tell us which program you used to write the Windows ISO to the pen drive.

Weird. Did you use Rufus to do this?
