Hi,

In Device Manager>USB root hub properties>Power management> I untick the box that "allowsthe computer to turn off this device to save power" but whenever I turn my computer on this box has been automatically ticked. I don't want this to happen, can anyone suggest how I overcome this problem please?

usb root hub power management issue

Hi Richard,

Thanks very much for your help which unfortunately didn't solve the problem. I've decided to tackle the problem from a different direction and will start a new thread. (I'm a newbie to this so I hope this is the right way to go about it!

Thanks again

I just found out that the USB Root Hub being reset in Windows 7 can be fixed by:

1) Going into your power plan.

2) Click on "change plan settings", then click on "change advanced power settings"

3) Open up "USB settings", and open "USB selective suspend setting", and disable.

It worked for me. Good luck with anyone else having the issue.
