I have a old red styled 2GB USB 2.0 memory stick made by verbatim and having recently changed to windows 7 I'm now trying to access the safe area and can't as the exe doesn't open up. I've tried re-downloading it and run as admin but no luck. I've also just tried formating it as I only want to get into it to wipe it but formatting the thing doesn't wipe the stuff in the safe area.

Any ideas??

No problem.

As you are new to the forum I thought you might like to know how to mark threads as solved as well as the uses of some of the other buttons.

To the top right of this post you will see 3 icons. An orange (+), a set of scales and a red and white warning triangle.

The orange (+) or blue (-) denotes whether a user is on or offline (orange = on, blue = off).

The scales are used to give rep points; click this button if someone has helped you significantly or solved your queries (only give this to posts that you think really deserve it).

The red and white warning triangle is used to denote either an abusive post OR to mark a thread as solved (just put solved in the box that comes up and the admins or moderators will mark it solved).

I'll mark the thread solved this time.

VSafe issues

I keep receiving the attached error message when I try to open my Red VSafe memory stick. I have been using it on an older PC with Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 operating system. I am currently on a Windows 7 Professional (64-bit)

Any suggestions?? I need to retreive these files if at all possible!!

Thanks!!
