Vaio recovery CDs error

Hi
I have a Sony Vaio FW21L. In installed Windows 7 RTM MSDN version. I then tried to install all the drivers and sony software using the recovery cds but everytime it gets to 50% I get the error: vaio error 505 41 and the installer closes.

Does anyone know how I can sort this?

Well of course those cds were designed with another version of windows in mind (possibly vista). The preferred option would be to visit the manufacturer's websites and download the latest drivers, some of which will have some windows 7 drivers.

I just installed win7 and am trying to get some programs back and am getting this same error. has anyone figured out how to fix it yet?

Try to install them normally, if that fails, use compatibility mode.

I'd love to hear if someone comes up with a solution. There are so many goodies in those recovery DVD's.

How about product like Photoshop elements,magic effecs?
